The Burton Model Railex 2022 - NOW CANCELLED
Folks. It is with considerable regret that we have to advise that the Burton ModelRailex planned for 6th November will be cancelled.
Following an announcement on Monday this week, Molson Coors Ltd. who lease the site to the current operators, have foreclosed the lease and announced a major headquarters office development on the site, consequently all activities will cease on the 30th October 2022, immediately followed by site clearance.
So in the absence of suitable alternative venue at such short notice, and difficulties envisaged in any re-arrangement plans, we have been left with no alternative but to cancel the event.
If you could forward this sad information to anyone who might be interested or who would be planning to attend as a visitor, it would be very much appreciated.
Obviously, if there are any positive changes to the circumstances in the meantime, it will be published here
As you will appreciate, we are all devastated by this news and the suddenness of events.
Thanking you all,
Regards
Chris E. – Co-organiser, for Burton Railway Society
