A slide show by JOHN HUNT (Scarborough) who is a fireman for West Coast Railways and has been an active photographer since the 1960s. 17th March: NATTER NIGHT "Moved By Steam" Slide show (on the big screen) and book promotion by joint authors, former Burtonians - MIKE SMITH & RICHARD INWOOD (Bishop of Bedford) - with much of it Burton-based. 7th April: AGM followed by "40 Years of Photography" a slide show with DAVE WALKER (Coventry). 5th May: "Byways Around Britain" Talk and slides by DAVID MITCHELL (Berkhamsted). 26th May: NATTER NIGHT - David Wright (Derbyshire) "Painting and Weathering Your Model Buildings – Part 2". 2nd June: The popular “Annual Railway Quiz" presented by DAVE HOOK (Burton). 16th June: NATTER NIGHT - "Steam Railway Magazine" with timing expert MIKE NOTLEY (Derby) & ex-main line driver DAVID COURT (Doncaster). 7th July: "Steam in the UK" Talk and slides by ROB FALCONER (Chesterfield). 4th August: "Steam Video Magazine” & “Steaming Through Britain" Audio visual presentation by GRAHAM BRIGGS (Nottingham). 1st September: "The West Country in the 1960s" Slide show with PETER CRAY (Torquay). 15th September: NATTER NIGHT - "A Second Helping of Malcolm's locally-based slides" MALCOLM CRICK (Burton-on-Trent). 6th October: "Five Decades of Railway Photography" Slides with JOHN WHITELEY (Shipley). 20th October: “Photographic Competition” and “Pie and Peas Supper” Judging of photographs and slides by Society members. 3rd November: "45 Years of Railway Photography - Part 2" on slides by LES NIXON (Sheffield). 14th November: ANNUAL RAILFAIR - Town Hall, Burton upon Trent from 10 am. 1st December: “Steam on Ciné in the 1950s & 60s - Part 2" Films with MICHAEL CLEMENS (Pershore). 8th December: MEMBERS’ CHRISTMAS SOCIAL. All meetings are held at Marston’s Social Club, Shobnall Road, Burton upon Trent starting at 7.30 pm.
